• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: A pretty common feature in their songs, always Played for Laughs.
  • "Massachusetts" slowly morphs from a song about, well, the state of Massachusetts into a song about the narrator finding himself in an increasingly Transparent Closet.
    "Just because you're kissing a man doesn't make you gay...(confused!)"
  • "Stonehenge" briefly turns into an ad for the Honda Civic—"a car you can trust!"
• Crosses the Line Twice: From their English song "You're Fucked":

  I don't think you understand by far

  How completely super fucked you are.

  You are Hitler-in-the-bunker fucked!

• Hilarious in Hindsight: "What Does the Fox Say" gave another meaning after Five Nights at Freddy's.
  SCREEEEH!!!
• Ho Yay: Parts of Massachusetts ("and suddenly you're sucking on a cock") and pretty much all of Jan Egeland (though that's likely a case of Even the Guys Want Him).
• Signature Song: "The Fox", at least outside Norway, is the only song of theirs more people know at all.
• Values Dissonance: In their song "Jan Egeland" the pair use a rather offensive slur for a gay person. One hopes this is a case of a "Blind Idiot" Translation rather than deliberate.
