- Harsher in Hindsight: In this story, while Amy gets put through the ringer, she ultimately ends up having a happier life, moving on from Victoria and entering a stable relationship with Taylor. As Ward would later reveal, Amy is indicated to have been a Narcissist well before Worm started, has extreme Never My Fault issues, and overall is far less sympathetic than any ever imagined her to be.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: This fic was first written partway into the run of The Transformers: More than Meets the Eye. As such, Rung's inclusion can be seen as this for people who have already finished MTMTE/Lost Light, considering how the last few issues revealed that he's the IDW version of Primus. Time will tell if this will be touched upon.
- Jossed: Primus' opening monologue confirms that the Entities have no connection to Unicron. While the entities further his goals by simply going about their life cycle, they aren't his agents.
- Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: While still more hopeful than canon Worm, some fans have accused the story of this, noting just how outmatched mankind is compared to what they're up against.
- Just for reference, the biggest example of this came after the release of 14.2, when it was revealed that Taylor managed to permanently cripple Leviathan, due to the Red Voice deciding to destroy Brockton Bay. You read that right: a moment that should be considered one of the hero's greatest triumphs is labeled as the point where the story starts to get too dark.
