• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • Homare took an electric shock from a ModokiBetamon at the very start and Hisoka made fun of him for always getting into trouble. Later in the story, what caused his heart to stop beating and him to fall into a coma? A massive electric shock. When this happened, Hisoka begged Homare to not die. When Hisoka and Guy tried to rush him to the clinic, they were attacked by a horde of ModokiBetamon, and Guy pointed out that Homare's heart would probably stop forever if he took another electric shock from ModokiBetamon. Harsh.
  • "Arisu is a natural disaster." Hisoka was merely making fun of Homare, and it was funny. Until the later arcs come that is, when Homare starts seeing himself as a dangerous, destructive fire dragon.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: The meme Apollo's Gift of Prophecy best describes it.
  • Tsumugi evolving into Wolfmon happened in chapter 17, uploaded on 10/8/2020, about two weeks before the anime art for Winter Troupe dropped. What makes it funny is Wolfmon has a striped scarf, so the author has jokingly says that Tsumugi's stripes may have gone to Wolfmon's scarf.
  • Azuma evolving into Fairymon has happened in a chapter uploaded months ago before the release of Fairy in a Bottle banner in the game. Long before that, Fairymon has also been intended to be Azuma's evolved form. Made even funnier by the fact that the author has just talked about another instance of this coincidence a few days ago.
  • A more obscure one is Homare. His evolution line, being associated with Greymon species, is Dinosaurs Are Dragons trope, and the association can be seen as early as in chapter 3, which was uploaded before The Amazing Museum came to the game; Homare's backstage for this event has him being chased by dinosaurs.
