• Awesome Music: Love the game or not, the soundtrack is agreed to be amazing.
• Cry for the Devil: It's hard not to feel at least a little bad for Squid due to his tragic and sympathetic backstory, as well as his genuine vulnerability towards the player near the end of the game after defeating him, and the player's ability to literally fix his broken heart.
• Draco in Leather Pants: It's very easy to slip into this territory for Squid, due to the same reasons above.
• Love to Hate: Squid is an absolute bastard who berates the player and murders humans for fun, but he's so damn entertaining it's hard not to love him.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Yo.
  • Referring to the game as "Squid Game"
  • This gif of Shelly overlaid with a CGI car crash
  • Using 'snail' as a verb in general (ex. "Me when I snail")
• Paranoia Fuel: You could be in a simulation right now, and you wouldn't even know it. Also, the implication that Will You Snail is actually a game programmed by a sentient AI from an alternate universe and planted into the brain of Jonas Tyroller via black hole computation is something that's both theoretically plausible and impossible to prove wrong.
