- Audience-Alienating Premise: This book's premise following a similar not well received add on series to the Dollanganger series triggered this for many hardcore VC Andrews fans.
- So Okay, It's Average: While plenty of vitrol is displayed at this book for its mere existence as mentioned above, there is also some reaction that while nowhere near as good as My Sweet Audrina, it's a still a decently average Neiderman book. It also helped the use of a Time Skip with a few minor add-ins was a better choice than what he done for the Dollanganger series continuation which was even more openly attacked than this book.
