- Awesome Moments: The truly epic fight between Jackie Chan and Benny Urquidez. As an example, you know that part where Benny snuffs out some candles by kicking near them? That wasn't in the script. He really kicked fast enough to do that. It's not for nothing that this fight is considered one of the greatest in film history.
- Better yet was that Jackie and Benny couldn't communicate without an interpreter, since Jackie hadn't learned English well enough yet at that point. But they managed to put on an intense and hard-hitting performance that got even Jackie's stunt team worried, because they were both equally tough and competitive.
- Awesome Music: The main theme - Chinese lyrics, Spanish instrumentation and sound.
- The main theme of the international version, 'Spartan X'. How awesome? The theme was used as the entrance music for Mitsuharu Misawa for his entire solo career, both in All Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH.
- Heartwarming Moments:
- Thomas and David forgiving Sylvia for stealing their money and giving her a chance to go straight, and the ensuing Good-Times Montage.
- The Group Hug between Sylvia, Thomas, and David at the end.
- No Problem with Licensed Games: The movie was made into an arcade game, called Spartan-X, named after the Japanese title. It was later ported to the NES under a more familiar title, Kung-Fu, which would end up becoming one of 18 American launch titles for the system.
- Signature Scene: Thomas' fight with the henchman played by Benny Urquidez is most likely the first scene that comes to mind when this movie is mentioned.
