• Complete Monster: Trogen is the third son of King Cold, created after the latter deemed his first two sons to be failures. Proving himself to be an impulsive psychopath, Trogen murders his father in front of Cooler for taking too long to find Frieza. When it's believed that Frieza is on the planet Yardrat, Trogen goes against the plan to land and search for his brother and instead gleefully blows the entire planet up. Taking over his father's mantle, Trogen becomes a cruel and despotic ruler who lets his empire fall to ruins. Learning that Frieza is now on Earth, Trogen attempts to kill Vegeta for outliving his usefulness and chains Cooler up without sustenance. On Earth, he orders his men to kill all of the Z Fighters, but after years of abuse, they refuse. In response, Trogen uses his eye beams to bisect his entire present army, numbering in the thousands. After threatening to blow up Earth if anyone interrupts his fight with Frieza, Trogen taunts his brother over the destruction of Yardrat. A lunatic to the end, Trogen feels elated even at his own death.
• Heartwarming Moments: There are several moments between Cheelai, Cuit and Frieza which stand out, particularly when Cheelai gives big hugs to Frieza.
  Frieza: Cuit... Now look what you made me do... You made me give a damn...
• Nightmare Fuel: Trogen, a child King Cold created to replace Frieza after exiling him, is this incarnate in just the short amount of time he's appeared. Masako portrays him like a ticking time bomb barely able to keep his murderous impulses in check. Him killing his father comes out of nowhere, not helped by the calm yet clearly gleeful manner in which he describes to an actually horrified Cooler how much he despised King Cold.
• The Woobie: Cheelai goes through a Trauma Conga Line, her parents are possibly killed when Vegeta, Nappa and Raditz attack her homeworld, so she's left a homeless Street Urchin that has to steal to survive. She's also been abandoned several other times by people she knew. The only person to not abandon her is Frieza.
