• Hard-to-Adapt Work: Despite the countless adaptations of Jane Eyre, to the point of Adaptation Overdosed, Charlotte Brontë's later novel Villette has only had a few radio and TV adaptations. This is most likely because of the novel's Unreliable Narrator, who deliberately hides things from the audience, including never revealing her Darkand Troubled Past. ^note There was a BBC TV series done in 1970, but how this worked is difficult to say as it was wiped and only a few photos exist.
• Les Yay: While Lucy mostly sees her as an annoyance, Ginevra can get so clingy and possessive on occasions that it actually comes off as this. And she married a feminine-looking guy, after all...
