  • Complete Monster:
    • Byeongsu, from chapters 2 and 3, starts off as a bully who would torment and extort his other classmates before becoming a deranged vampire who glories in killing. He is a self-absorbed monster who blames everyone else for his issues, so when he discovers that his friend has done well, Byeongsu has him humiliated and tortured to death in the most horrendous way. Incapable of taking criticism, Byeongsu eventually decides to massacre the people at the university when they upset him, even gloating about how much fun it will be.
    • Sahan, real name Geonu Shin, is a member of the "Angels of Death" and specializes in vampire recruitment. Once a psychologist who despised his patients for not following his advice, Sahan throws his lot in with the mysterious vampire progenitor God and becomes a vampire with hypnosis abilities. Sahan recruits troubled and abused teenagers and then preys on them, twisting them into vampire Cannon Fodder. When one of his subjects refuses, Sahan has her mentally violated with visions of her abusive father. Later, he tries to kill the heroine Hayan in the same manner. Sahan eventually tries to force his brainwashed students to fight to the death against Hayan, and when that fails, attempts to have hundreds of innocents rip their hearts out if she doesn't submit to his monstrous aims. After his defeat, Sahan, in a mad rage, attempts to backstab and kill his comrades in the other Angels of Death out of spite.
  • Ending Fatigue: When the series resolve the driving mysteries surrounding Hayan and "God" (Hayan finally gets her memories fully restored, and the God's true nature is revealed), what's left in the main story is for Hayan to stop the "God" from accomplishing his goal, but there're still more than 30 episodes to go that focus on B-plots before that can happen. Some of these tie up the plot threads for the pre-existing supporting cast, but it also circles around a number of characters with little backstory getting left behind as soon as they're introduced (the remaining Angels of Death are Anti-Climax that barely hold against Hayan at this point; the only one who can put up an actual fight with Hayan and show a character depth is Levy). Readers who expect the final battle between the two main characters will have to wait a bit.
  • What Could Have Been: In a chapter released after the comic's completion, the author revealed many details that had been scrapped in the process of developing Unholy Blood
    • Father Michael was a Decomposite Character, with his role as Hayan's sole close human relation before dying and being a priest having been part of Yohan's character. He was going to have faked his death to spur on Hayan's awakening and later return as the main villain.
    • The comic that was in development before the author's editors suggested what would become Unholy Blood was actually a women's volleyball sports comic.
    • Hayan's vampire super mode would have black hair and her main outfit would have been more revealing.
