• Captain Obvious Reveal: Quite a few fans had already predicted that Nicholas’ stand would be named The Chain before it was revealed in Chapter 3. The author even joked about it in the chapter’s end notes.

• Fan Nickname:
  • A few people have used NiJo or NicJo when describing the story’s protagonist, the author personally thinks it’s an ugly sounding nickname but he doesn’t mind people using it.
  • Fans of the fic have adopted the name ‘Unchads’ to describe themselves.
• Hype Aversion: The part becoming popular and much discussed around the release of Chapter 2 and since have caused some people to react this way.
• I Knew It!: How the fans who predicted Nicholas' stand would be called The Chain reacted.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • 'Unchussy' gets used by some fans as a nickname for the story, or something that’s just used for jokes.
  • #UnchainedSweep and Unchillion get used by fans quite a bit, akin to the #MorbiusSweep and Morbillion memes.
  • Within the Unchained community and wider JoJo FanPart circle, if there is mention of or a picture with a chain in it, expect people to make Unchained jokes.
