She's promptly done away with, leaving a Pakistani girl as the heroine. It's also a misspelling of the French word "choisi", which means "chosen one"
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • The description of the Black Windows. First, there's one. And then a few more climb out it, a few more climb out of them, and a few more climb out of them, until the room is filled with them! The bad part? They'll eat any intruders, and it's impossible to get out once you've been eaten. You can sometimes hear the screams and banging of the recently-eaten. Even worse, there's no indication that the Black Windows actually digest anything, so the eaten will most likely starve to death, assuming they don't choose another way out first.
  • Giraffes. They're the top predator in the outskirts of Un Lun Dun.
  • The smombies. Shambling dead bodies inhabited by bits of the Smog to act as mostly mindless fighters and enforcers. The inhabitants of Wraithtown understandably hate them more than anything else, since those are their former bodies wandering around as evil minions.
