What's even scary is how state media can control society's perception and censor sensitive information.

* CriticalResearchFailure: Public Prosecutor Office agents having firearms. But there can be a case for this as ArtisticLicense, given that Japan had just went through a war and had strict laws due to being a victim of terrorist attacks alongside its Cyberpunk setting.

* ValuesResonance: Watching this show 5 years after its premiere made the premise very relevant in today's post-truth era where alternative facts and fake news dominated all kinds of media.

* TheWoobie: Both Shinjuurou and Inga, once the prequel finally gives them some backstory. Shinjuurou has had ''a lot'' of stuff taken away from him (family, friends, homes, professions, a name), and Inga [[spoiler: is an orphaned AnthropomorphicPersonification shunned by other proper Gods and sealed away into a statue before Shinjuurou freed her.]]

* CrowningMusicOfAwesome: Just ''listen'' to it! * UnresolvedSexualTension: Loads between Rie and Yuuki, Inga (at least in adult form) and Yuuki...
** Inga in her ([[GenderBender male]]) child form, for that matter. [[ChickMagnet Goddamn]].
** A little bit less with Izumi, but there's requisite FoeYay due to the fact that she's a prosecutor and Shinjuurou's a detective. Although none of that FoeYay was present in Episode 0...
** And then truck-loads with the three female actors in the 7th and 8th episodes. But damn, Shinjuurou's got game.
