- Base-Breaking Character: Alt Last of the Order. Your opinion on Anita Sarkeesian may have an effect on your opinion of her. It doesn't help that she's the only alt. without any lore.
- Even Better Sequel: While the original TowerFall for Ouya was one of the most popular titles for the console, the game only had the multiplayer versus and some time trials for practicing. Ascension, however, came with the single-player Quest Mode, and unlockable content such as new characters and stages.
- Good Bad Bugs: Subverted with Dodge Cancelling, as it turns out that the technique, which everyone thought was a glitch, was intentionally added by developer Maddy Thorson.
- That One Sidequest: Getting the gold skulls is a pain in the ass. If you thought that finishing Quest levels on hardcore was difficult enough, how about winning them with only one life on each?
