- Creator's Favorite: Maddy Thorson's favorite character is the Vigilante Thief, even if she plays a lot with the Ancient Exile due to knowing how to start a match with her hair down.
- Killer App: The original game was the closest to this Ouya had, at least until Ascension came to PS4 and PC.
- Promoted Fanboy: Developer Kyle Pulver, huge fan of TowerFall and friend of Maddy Thorson, was given his own character (although actually a head swap) in 1.1.17. It can be chosen holding L2 while selecting the Assassin Prince.
- What Could Have Been: Originally, there was going to be a new power-up for the Dark World Expansion called the Rose Amulet. Collecting it would've made the user leave brambles behind while running. It turned out to be more of a Power Up Letdown (as it caused suicides more often than not), so it was cut.
