- Awesome Music: If there is one band whose entire career is more characterized by Awesome Music than is Blind Guardian's, it's almost incontestably Therion. Just check the page.
- Broken Base: There's a huge split of certain fans that prefer the earlier death metal sounds, and others that prefer the clean gothic style of later albums.
- Christofer Johnsson singing versus the various singers on their later albums has also been up for debate.
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: While popular enough in their home country of Sweden, they've had much more commercial success in places like Germany, Poland and Hungary; Sitra Ahra even debuted in the top 5 of the Hungary album charts on release.
- Narm: Therion has its moments too.
- Replacement Scrappy: Christian Vidal. While he is an excellent guitarist in his own right, the general consensus is that he simply can't measure up to Kristian Niemann.
- Signature Song: "To Mega Therion" is the main one; "Schwarzalbenheim", "Invocation of Naamah", "Blood of Kingu", and "Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah" get played live quite often as well.
