- Fridge Brilliance: Miles doesn't detect that Jefferson is sneaking up on him, because traditionally spider-sense won't activate around family members or any trusted persons (unless they're in danger).
- Fridge Horror: Most versions of Peter Parker had identical nightmares, typically around the time they get possessed by a symbiote. Across the Spider-Verse already established that symbiotes are a recurrent element to the Spider-Man mythos, so who's to say Miles isn't fated to encounter the equivalent to Venom at some point?
- Nightmare Fuel: Considering that part of this short literally takes place in a nightmare, it makes sense that there's some scary stuff to see.
- The black simulacrum of Miles is insanely creepy. The all-jet-black skin and Glowing Eyes of Doom make it unsettling just to look at, but then it pulls a Stealth Hi/Bye on Miles before appearing on the ceiling and stretching its long arm to try and grab him. Small wonder that Miles starts to freak out.
- The giant spider splitting into smaller spiders and crawling all over Miles is bad enough, considering he realistically panics when it happens. But then, a big one starts coming out of his mouth.
