• Alternative Character Interpretation: Is Lisa right about chemicals being the only reason behind Francine's motivation to bully? Francine's parents appear at the end of the episode, not the least bothered that their daughter is rampaging the auditorium beating up everyone in sight; they only chuckle and comment about how she'll sleep better that night. In fact, it's eerily similar to Ned's childhood situation in "Hurricane Neddy". Not to mention, the fact they appear to have her join in the middle of the school year implies they may have just moved to the area- for all we know, this could either be 1) her outlet to let out pent-up aggression over the move and her parents' inattentiveness and/or 2) be her form of trying to get attention and, albeit rather hypocritically, try to make friends.
• Awesome Music: "Always Safety First" by NRBQ (a personal favorite band of Mike Scully's) playing during Homer's mass baby-proofing montage. Also used during the end credits, overrunning the Gracie Films logo.
• The Woobie: Poor Lisa goes through the wringer as she gets viciously bullied by Francine.
