• Heartwarming Moments:
  • As Dorothy goes down the stairs to complete the Nome King's challenge, she is met by Elphaba, who appears to her in the dark so that Dorothy won't recognise her. When Dorothy starts crying about how she was responsible for everything that has happened in Oz, Elphaba hugs Dorothy and assures her that she was just a child who made mistakes rather than a genuinely bad person. Once the two return to Oz, Dorothy and Elphaba spend time talking about their true pasts, accepting that they no longer have to be enemies, to the extent that Elphaba lets Dorothy wear the Ruby Slippers for an upcoming celebration.
  • Elphaba's reunion with Glinda, as she explains how she faked her death to give Glinda the chance to be a true hero of Oz. Once the Nome King has been driven back, Glinda assures Elphaba that she understands why she faked her death and doesn't blame the other witch for deceiving her, recognising that she didn't have a choice in anything.
• Nausea Fuel: The part where Brollan accidentally magically melds himself to a bunch of other people's bodies and some of the ways the Nome King tortures The Wizard.
• Tear Jerker: Chapter 26- "No Bad Deed Goes Unrewarded", as the Nome King gives Elphaba a glimpse of a world where she grew up with normal skin and had a happy life, only for Elphaba to turn down the offer to make that the true reality as she feels she doesn't deserve the chance to be happy after her own mistakes.
