* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: As Dorothy goes down the stairs to complete the Nome King's challenge, she is met by Elphaba, who appears to her in the dark so that Dorothy won't recognise her. When Dorothy starts crying about how she was responsible for everything that has happened in Oz, Elphaba hugs Dorothy and assures her that she was just a child who made mistakes rather than a genuinely bad person. Once the two return to Oz, Dorothy and Elphaba spend time talking about their true pasts, accepting that they no longer have to be enemies, to the extent that Elphaba lets Dorothy wear the Ruby Slippers for an upcoming celebration.
