- Escapist Character: The entire main cast. They are young children who go on adventures to save the day, serving as Wish-Fulfillment for the target audience.
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: While the show is obscure in the United States and Canada, it used to be popular in Latin America due to airing in Discovery Kids which is a very popular channel there.
- Nightmare Fuel:
- B. B. Jammies seems to be the creepiest looking character on the show, despite being the baby. He has big wide eyes, a wide monsterish mouth & adult-like voice/wrinkly facial reactions.
- In the episode "Runaway Toy Car!", Raymundo and Peque are in danger of falling in an active volcano. If not for the Save-Ums's timely intervention, the two ants would have been burned alive.
- Colin and Elizabat's "monster" in "Scary Things Don't Blink!". The supposedly sinister eyes can be a little eerie for young viewers.
- Retroactive Recognition: Jazzi is voiced by Tajja Isen, who would later become much more well known as the voice of Atomic Betty and Princess Presto.
- Special Effects Failure: The show's animation looked dated even when it came out. The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius came out a little before this show, and even that looked better. It doesn't help that the lip-syncing is off. Then again, C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures was notorious for having No Budget.
- Unintentional Uncanny Valley: The Save-Ums themselves; their Black Bead Eyes and rubbery bodies coupled with the show's subpar lip-syncing make them look rather creepy.
