- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The series wasn't a huge ratings hit during its initial UK broadcast, but it generated a cult following when telecast abroad, most notably in the USA. PBS outlet KTEH in San Jose aired at least five runs of the series after it became "a local phenomenon".
- Moral Event Horizon: Burnside does a lot of things that come very close to this, but if there was ever a point where he crosses the line (and nearly causes Willie Caine to angrily quit the service), it's when he ordered the assassination of Laura Dickens during the prisoner exchange meant to free her.
