Downer Ending: Cat dies trying to prove that he was innocent and that the police betrayed him. Though even if he did live, Yip Foon is dead and so is Lily and Sap. He would also have to look forward to prison for the jewelry store robbery and murder of Sap.
Squick: When Cat is attacked by Loan Shark Chiang and his men, Chiang pees on Cat's face. Yuck!
Technology Marches On: Set in 1994, rewatching this film is an interesting period piece to behold. Phone booths, Pagers and Beepers, Mobile phones, CRT Televsions, voice recording devices, and Large Computers using Floppy Disks are a sight to behold considering that these aren't common anymore. Even the cars are dated as they are products of the 90s.
