• Ending Fatigue: From far-future science fiction about how people deal with a strongly superhuman, albeit benevolent, AGI, to a (deliberately) pre-agrarian Adam and Eve Plot.
• Jerkass: Caroline is a thoroughly unpleasant character throughout the story, between her strange fetishes, lovers/friends who are unrepentant murderers, fascists, and pedophiles, and her disproportionate hate for everyone that rivals AM. And while she wasn't trying to kill everyone in existence except herself and Lawrence, she sure looks on the bright side when it happens.
• Nightmare Fuel: Fred the zombie.
