• Alternate Character Interpretation: Mario can recognize a love potion by smell, and correctly identified it as a 30 minute love potion. With his knowledge of love potions, is it possible he put a love potion on Peach?
• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The waterfall in Jr's nose in Jr's Sickness has virtually no cause and no payoff.
• Crosses the Line Twice: Morton's comment during the family meeting in Iggy's Alexa certainly qualifies.
  Bowser Jr: Larry has strep throat! He can't get out of bed, much less come to this meeting!
  Morton: Yeah man, he's about to be voted out of life.

  Bowser Jr: C'mere, you little -- (he punches him)
• Discredited Meme: Ugandan Knuckles makes an appearance in Mario and Luigi Turn into Babies. Mario lampshades this.
  Ugandan Knuckles: Do you know de wey?
  Mario: Oh no, Luigi, a dead meme!!
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Wario has a pretty small role overall, but he steals the screen every chance he gets.
• Heartwarming Moments: A few familial moments throughout the series.
  • Luigi taking a stand and betting against the Devil for Mario. His regret and drive are surprisingly deep for his character.
  • Roy arguing with his sister, yet still saying "I love you" before he goes.
  • Jr and Larry's conversation in Jr's Sickness. They're not only brothers, but good friends.
• Nightmare Fuel: Sometimes, if you think about it too long, some moments are really creepy.
  • The confrontation with Kamek is pretty ominous watching it the first time. His base concealed in the shadows, the ominous music, the voice... Of course, it's ruined by Wario.
  • Baby Peach is a real threat to Wario and Waluigi sometimes. Usually, it's Played for Laughs, but if they ever push it too far, she won't hesitate to threaten their lives.
