YMMV / The Lunacy of Duke Venomania

• Draco in Leather Pants: Venomania had a bit of a Misaimed Fandom even before this book was released from the song of the same name, but the backstory revealed in it, namely that he was horrifically abused and neglected for being deformed and gained the power to enchant women largely to get Gumina to love him again (at first), made it less a matter of finding him sexy despite his evil and more about whitewashing his subsequent crimes because he had an awful childhood.
• It Was His Sled: As with most of the reveals in Evillious, Venomania really being Cherubim and not Sateriasis is common knowledge even among people who haven't seen the book. It helps that the reveal is extremely obvious.
• Narm: Venomania watching the members of his harem leave him is strangely tragic, especially coming right after the reveal that he was neglected and abused his whole life. And then the narrative mentions Neruneru leaving (who is, for the record, named after a Japanese candy) and it becomes hilarious.
• Les Yay: The manga makes Lukana Octo a walking magnet of these. She was good friends with Lilien Turner (a baker), and bought her a beautiful bracelet to match hers. In fact, looking for Lukana is Lilien's motivation to follow the duke at first. There's also a scene where Lukana is hugging and talking to Mikulia about the duke/their situation. Mikulia's only answer is that she loves Venomania... and she also loves Lukana.
