YMMV / The Little Pest (1931)

• Nightmare Fuel: The infamous scene of Scrappy throwing Oopy in the lake. The idea of an innocent little baby drowning to death with the older sibling just walking away to let him die is incredibly grisly.
• The Scrappy: The main character, Scrappy unironically is this. Look up the short on YouTube and you are guaranteed to find comments of people voicing their abhorrence towards Scrappy for his treatment towards Oopy.
• Values Dissonance: The majority of the short contains a lot of scenes of the main character violently mistreating his younger brother, almost bordering on domestic abuse with the main character almost deliberately letting his sibling die. Suffice to say, a short like this would no doubt get a lot of flak if it was made and released in the current times.
• What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: Many people understandably find it bizarre that this short is in line with other animated shorts aimed for children regarding what happens in it.
