- Hilarious in Hindsight: The comic introduces Djinns as dwellers of the Desert biome, which is an entrance to Hell. Come Terraria Version 1.3.3., Djinns are now a real thing (although they don't guard the entrance to Hell like the comic mentioned).
- In comic #376, after Ina recites a section of Othello, Cyril says he hopes their relationship isn’t as tragic as Desdemona and Othello’s. Ina jokes that Maxx wouldn’t be a competent Iago. Maxx actually does attempt to kill Ina later on, and completely fails because she’s undead. Become Harsher in Hindsight when Ina is ripped away from Cyril.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Tyrone getting brutally murdered whenever he appears gets less funny when he gets stabbed so many times he refuses to return to earth and becomes a piteous coward hiding in purgatory to avoid Xane.
- Jerkass Woobie: June. She's sarcastic and jaded, but she's made it clear that this is due to 500 YEARS of watching heroes fail.
- Memetic Mutation: "Sorry, in this situation you're only allowed a maximum of 3 horrified 'no's." Said by Remiel the Angel after Guidey's death, it's especially popular in the Terraria forums (and LoM's comments section).
- Tear Jerker: Ina getting ripped away into the afterlife after Cyril finally got to be happy.
