YMMV / The Last of Sheila

Go To

  • Cult Classic: As a quirky take on the traditional Whodunit, and because of the unlikely involvement of Anthony Perkins and Stephen Sondheim as writers, it's gained a following over the years.
  • Narm: Phillip's giving Tom a rundown on how Phillip worked out that Tom was the mastermind behind Clinton and Lee's deaths. The tension mounts as he tries to discreetly either summon help (unsuccessfully) or find a way out of the main saloon (also unsuccessfully). Tom then approaches Phillip with deathly intent in his eyes, whips out his hands from behind his back... to reveal two hand puppets. Even Tom looks embarrassed as he mutters 'I didn't bring gloves'.
  • Values Dissonance: Philip being the "little child molester" isn't considered all that horrifying, though at least there's some amusement in having the actor who played Humbert Humbert in the role.
