• Alternate Character Interpretation: Is Daniel just a giant Jerkass to Jim For the Lulz, or is it that he genuinely can't make any other friends, he's deeply alone and Jeannine, his ex-girlfriend and Jim's current wife, is his only friend and confidant?
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: Jim, for most of the series, doesn't ever really go out of his way to make enemies or cause trouble. But eventually trouble finds him and piles on to him disproportionately and is makes him out to be a jerk that has to apologize by the end.
• Unintentionally Un Sympathetic: Jim's wife, Jeanine. She plays out the typical-suffering sitcom wife, but is really shallow, domineering, easily jealous, openly favouring her ex over her actual husband and pretty annoyingly insipid.
