There is an In-UniverseBroken Base over the deal the Coalition made with the elites of the Senex Juvex Sector. In which, in exchange for peacefully giving up power the entire slaver aristocracy was granted full immunity for all crimes comitted during the regime. Understandably many people, especially former slaves and abolitionists considers this the Coalition selling out their values and letting thousands of slavers, killers, torturers and rapists get off scot free. Meanwhile the supporters of the deal argue that it was the only way for the SJ's elite to peacefully give up power, and the alternative would have been a long and bloody war that would have seen millions upon millions of deaths, most of them slaves and innocent citizens, and that the Coalition was specifically founded on the principle that protecting innocent lives is more important than punishing guilty ones. It`s ultimatley left for the readers to decide which side of the issue they land on.
