• Ass Pull: The Flow of Failed Phantasms turns out to have been housing not just ghosts who fail to Fit the council's standards, but also Frightmares, genuinely malevolent ghosts who are too dangerous to be set free. This was not foreshadowed at all in prior episodes, with it only ever being implied to house failed ghosts and nothing else.
• Strawman Has a Point: Scratch’s apprehension about being made the new Chairman makes perfect sense when you let it sink in that Molly was the one who actually killed the Chairman and it’s heavily implied that she isn’t given the new position as Chairman since she’s still alive. ^note  Which becomes Hilarious in Hindsight in the Grand Finale of the show when it's revealed that Scratch is also still alive.
