YMMV / The Duke of Death and His Black Maid

• Awesome Music: The anime adaptation's OP, "Mangetsu to Silhouette no Yoru". A combination comical, catchy, slightly sad and all the way sweet number with Ayumi Mano and Natsuki Hanae's voices perfectly gelling for a great duet.
• Jerkass Woobie: Walter. He is mostly a Jerkass to One regarding the Duke, and some of his antics come across as obnoxious, but it becomes clear that he truly feels wronged by the Duke, and is actually a very hard worker who always does his best.
• Les Yay:
  • Between Viola and Caph. Their first meeting ends with Viola pining Caph under herself and tying her up, with the other characters clearly assuming there was something else going on when they enter the room. The first time they have a sleepover, Caph aggressively tickles Viola in order to change an uncomfortable subject. Later on, Caph gets very attached to Viola, who starts acting like a Tsundere around Caph. Viola then blushes when Caph blows her a kiss during a show, and is later seen wondering why she always gets sentimental when thinking about Caph.
  • That is nothing compared to the relationship between Sharon and Gerbera. Wishing to be as social as Sharon, Gerbera invites her over to her room one night, where they start to bond. Sharon then offers to become her first friend, which a blushing Gerbera accepts while asking her to call her by her first name and be more casual while they are alone. At a later date, Gerbera outright tells Sharon that she loves her, leaving Sharon very flustered.
