YMMV / Supergirl (2015) S5E15 "Reality Bytes"

• Anvilicious: The theme of this episode, namely the struggles of the transgender community, has all the subtlety of a freight train. The villain of the story is practically a caricature of violent transphobes.
• Harsher in Hindsight: While Kara was able to prevent Nia from becoming a killer in this episode, on Batwoman, Kate, another of Kara's friends, found herself in almost the exact same position as Nia, with a villain at her mercy, Dr. August Cartwright, who had committed terrible crimes against her and her family. With no one there to talk her down, Kate eventually hit her breaking point and killed Cartwright, much to her own horror. Even worse, the episode in question aired immediately before this one; Superman Stays Out of Gotham aside, Kara may well have saved Nia's soul but been unable to prevent Kate from losing hers because, for all her power, even Supergirl can't be in two places at once.
