• Awesome Music: The opening theme, "Song of Princess Kaguya" is very soothing and melodic.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The final episode is titled "Don't Die! Andro Mask." Just three years after Majo Sensei ended, Hikaru's actress Yoko Kiku would be murdered by her jealous ex-boyfriend. Furthermore, the episode begins with Hikaru having a nightmare about Kumondes strangling her with a whip, which is eerily similar to the method of strangulation used on Kiku via a telephone cord.
• Retroactive Recognition: Kumondes is voiced by Shōzō Iizuka, in one of his earliest Toku villains roles. His performance left a strong impression on the producer, resulting in Iizuka being cast in what would be two of his most prominent roles as Doruge and Hakaider.
