  • Demonic Spiders:
    • Red airplanes in Lost Campaigns are pretty flimsy, but they make up for that by dropping painful bombs on your turrets while also not being distracted by the Barrier Decoy. They're the fastest enemy in the game, often being able to reach your turrets before you can shoot them down, are also very small, making them hard to hit, and tend to be paired with Giant Mooks forcing the player to divert attention if they do not want to take big damage. Heaven help you if you lack rapid-fire weapons when these appear.
    • Golden helicopters are only fought in the final stage and the Brutal Bonus Level, but they're a nightmare to face thanks to being Lightning Bruisers. An upgrade to the teleporting drone enemies, these fly quickly and erratically past your front lines into your defences or even just teleport there. Defensively, these have very high amounts of health, comparable to a Giant Mook, their bodies are armored and their heads are heavily armored giving them great amounts of Damage Reduction there, while their weakpoint is the exposed machinery on the underside, which you'll only be able to target once they're right in the middle of your defences. Offensively, their dual machine guns rip up most defences not named the Barrier Decoy to shreds.
  • Game-Breaker: The Spread Machine Gun in Lost Campaigns. It fires a spread of three weak bullets at a fast rate, and it's intended to be balanced by being weak against armored foes. However, simply upgrade its damage twice and it starts dealing Scratch Damage to armored foes, capable of dishing out rapid amounts of Death of a Thousand Cuts to every single enemy in the game. In "The Twenty-Five", pairing one with enough fully leveled Damage Buffers will allow one to do over 15 damage per bullet, meaning that all weak enemies die within one hit, and everything else, armored or not, dies within 1-2 seconds of sustained fire- even the Degraded Boss and the gold helicopters.
