YMMV / Stargate Atlantis S02 E02 "The Intruder"

• Alternative Character Interpretation: Caldwell's frosty attitude towards the Atlantis Expedition after the Passed-Over Promotion. Is Caldwell's pride genuinely injured and he's legimtiately angry that Weird played politics to advance a Military Maverick with a history of insubordination? Or, given the revelations of "Duet" later in the Season, is Caldwell already carrying a Goa'uld Symbiote at this point in the show's timeline? If so, then Caldwell's anger could actually be the Goa'uld's fury that the denied promotion will limit it's ability to be on the Atlantis base on a day-to-day basis and acquire technology and data without raising suspicion.
