YMMV / St. Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold

Go To

  • Awesome Music: "Up and Away", the theme used for the Dance Party Ending.
  • Designated Villain: Other than his political incorrectness, Pomfrey had a quite understandable beef with the Fritton clan and actually does try to resolve the dispute over the rings peacefully. He only antagonises the girls when they demand more money from him.
  • Draco in Leather Pants: Sir Piers Pomfrey, the main villain, who is pretty much the best part of the movie. For obvious reasons.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: A group of girls who are all called Amy and all sport Amy Winehouse’s (a singer whose struggles with alcohol and drug addiction were well known) signature hairstyle are notably present in the Alcoholics Anonymous meeting scene. Two years after the film was released Amy Winehouse passed away at the age of 27 as a result of alcohol poisoning.
  • Older Than They Think: Many IMDb posters are annoyed that the film is called St. Trinians 2 (meaning the second of the current incarnation) when it's actually the seventh overall. Although the first came out over fifty years ago, and the fifth (The Wildcats of St. Trinian's) is so legendarily awful that it's no longer available, so ignorance is perhaps excusable.
  • Sequelitis: Compared to its predecessor, this film was poorly received.
