  • Ass Pull: In the Season 5 finale, Alex and Anna buy an apartment in the city, but start having their doubts after the payment is made. The Happy Ending is that someone else immediately bought the same apartment for a better price: that someone turns out to be Fredrik, who specifically bought it so Alex and Anna wouldn't move farther away from his family. While Fredrik is rich enough to do something like that, it still comes out of nowhere since the audience doesn't get to know how he could possibly know which apartment to pick out.
  • Base-Breaking Character: Ove Sundberg is either the funniest character in the show due to his odd personality and Large Ham, or his egotism and annoyance infuriate the viewer as much as it does to the other characters in-universe.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: In a scene where Fredrik explains to Alex about how ugly teens becomes more attractive as they grow old while the good-looking ones becomes a little less good-looking, Alex randomly starts to imagine Fredrik as an old man in old-fashioned men's clothes and sunglasses surrounded by luxury, which doesn’t really add anything to his explanation nor becomes important later.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: The episode where Anna and Alex want to spend some time together alone, as they haven’t slept with each other for two months. Alex buys two movies: one cartoon for their little daughter Vilma while Anna’s parents babysit her, and a Hentai that he and Anna should watch to get in the mood. However, he neglects to tell her about the latter, meaning that Anna left both of the movies to her grandparents... And Vilma ends up watching the hentai.
  • Love to Hate:
    • Ove Sundberg is a sleazy and annoying piece of work to the other characters. But he is also considered by many to be the show's most hilarious character; helped by Henrik Dorsin's performance. Some of the show's most memorable moments are considered to be those with his presence.
    • Olle Sarri's portrayal of Göran, Fredrik's hilariously loathsome cousin-in-law.
  • The Scrappy: Björn Eriksson (played by Johan Ulvesson) from season 5 is a perverted marriage counselor who deliberately sabotages married couples so he can have a chance to get the woman. He tries to do the same to the Schillers and almost succeeded. While he was certainly meant to be despicable, he became a scrappy rather than a love-to-hate kind of character due to the fact that his bad traits are far worse than anything else depicted in the show and he sticks around for most of season 5 without even receiving any clear punishment for his actions.
  • Seasonal Rot: Season 7 hasn't been well-received by viewers due to the humor coming off as cringy and enforced rather than relatable like the show used to be, and characters grabbing the Idiot Ball just for the sake of having a plot.
  • Take That, Scrappy!: Alex giving his "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Ove; while Ove is devastated to hear it and continues to be a pain in the ass to the other characters afterwards, he had it a long time coming according to most of the audience.
  • Unpopular Popular Character: Ove Sundberg is considered a highlight of the show, despite his annoyance to the other characters. It even goes to the point that people who don't even watch the show knows who he is because of his many memetic lines which tend to be quoted. It helps that he is portrayed by Henrik Dorsin.
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: Alex when he secretly recorded Anna making a promise that she didn’t keep (namely, contacting the bank) and later claiming she didn’t even make. When Alex replays said conversation to prove to her that she often makes promises she can’t keep, she calls him out for recording conversations and calls it a perverse thing to do, with the series taking her side. However, as this habit of making false promises could have devastating consequences, many agreed with Alex on the issue, especially when his method of proving her wrong was mostly harmless.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Mickan in Episode 5 of Season 6 when she attends her old school-bully Suzy’s mingling event in an attempt to sabotage Suzy’s reputation. Her attempts to become popular among the other partygoers include pretending not to know her own husband when talking to famous talkshow-host Skavlan (who just called her husband annoying)... And trying to gain sympathy in a group by starting to talk about how she was stuck on a plane with a first class seat that was delayed and it was a ”torturous experience” - when talking to a man who had recently gotten out of real torture in an Ethiopian prison. While Suzy is indeed a bully, Mickan herself just comes off as a selfish Smug Snake.
