• Moral Event Horizon: Sky Clone crosses it when, after killing his brother, he uses the anniversary of his death to lure Skyla into a trap.
  Skyla: First you destroy Skyler! My husband! Your own brother! Then you use the anniversary of his death to lure me into a trap! What kind of creature are you!?
  Sky Clone: A most creative creature, I'd say.
• Narm Charm: The series is full of narm, especially in the more serious moments, but the character designs and adventure can make it enjoyable.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: Applies to the toyline the show adapts. The dolls caused injuries when launched improperly, and this led to the line being discontinued and recalled in 2000. Further reissues of the dolls had safety instructions included with them.
• Tear Jerker: Despite the narm, Skyler's death, as its impact on Skyla is seen throughout the entire series. "Lonely Heart" goes so far as to have her sleep-dancing with a ghostly image of him on the anniversary of his death. Skyler later saves her from Sky Clone.
