• Alternative Character Interpretation: Why did Lily go back to Jonah a year later? She really intended to let him be happy with his wife, tried to forget him but in the end missed him so much? Or was she always planning to have him back and letting him marry Eva for a year was a Pet the Dog moment?
• Complete Monster: Mr. Nyx is a darkly charismatic occultist and sex trafficker who runs a club that promises erotic shows and experiences to surpass his patrons' expectations. Nyx finds the titular siren Lily, casually ignoring the two cops she just killed in order to make her his newest supernatural Sex Slave. When Jonah and his friends stag party takes them to his club, they witness the ritualistic sexual abuse practiced there, with Jonah deciding to rescue Lily. Angered that his "best attraction" has been stolen, Nyx takes Jonah's friend Rand hostage, has him brutally tortured, and transfers the memories of said torture to Jonah to send a message. Seemingly indifferent to all his workers that Lily kills, Nyx is angered when Jonah offers Lily her freedom, and retaliates by butchering Jonah's brother Mac and making a final attempt on Jonah and Rand.
• Critical Dissonance: While this film got much better reviews than the movie that inspired it, fan reaction was more So Okay, It's Average, with many fans agreeing that it doesn't quite live up to Amateur Night.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: The fact that "Amateur Night" and Lily herself from the original film were this eventually led to this movie being made.
• Moral Event Horizon: Lily raping Jonah; the scene is filmed in a disturbing manner without any attempt to make a joke. Jonah is horrified, humiliated and full of pain throughout the experience.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • Lily's new Nightmare Face is even worse. See for yourself!
  • Lily raping Jonah while she is in demon form is terrifying.
  • The ending. Especially the implications of it: Lily’s species mates for life- Jonah will never be free from her now.
• Squick: Lily raping Jonah is already disturbing... And then, to the horror of Jonah and the viewer, Lily uses her tail as Ass Shove. Poor guy...
• Surprisingly Improved Sequel: The first movie's Rotten Tomatoes score? 58%. This movie's score? 75%.
• The Woobie:
  • Lily spent many years as a sex slave to the movie's monstrous human antagonist, with no one caring about her fate. The viewer almost forgets the horrible things she does with Jonah in the second half of the movie... Almost.
  • Poor Jonah. He sees Lily suffering and tries to save her. His reward for this is to be raped by her and then to spend the rest of his life as her sex slave, never seeing his loving wife, family, and friends again. All to be with this demonic woman for whom he feels only horror and disgust. Not to mention that he also lost his brother Mac.
  • Eva. In a moment, she has her perfect life, with her beloved husband. And suddenly, out of nowhere, comes this crazy, naked, demonic woman who steals her husband, flying with him to the sky. She will never see him again, and how will she explain this to family, friends and authorities? Her hysterical screams in the final scene of the movie are from someone who has just had her life destroyed forever.
