• Awesome Music: All the boss music are pretty fun to listen to.
• Do Not Do This Cool Thing: The game is just as fun, and adrenaline-pumping, as the first game, but this is jarringly contrasted by an anti-war message that pops up after the credits. See the ending here.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The main reason 2nd Squad was ill received by fans of the first game is that it was pretty different from its predecessor, both in its more cartoonesque graphic style and in the more limited choice of characters and paths.
