• Awesome Music: The five songs from Trip Cyclone.
• Goddamned Bats: The phone calls are intimidating enough at first, but once you get used to them (because they're not rare and they do eventually repeat) and start figuring out who Darkcloud is, your gut reaction goes from "Don't kill me!" to "You, sir, are gonna keep this up all night, aren't you?"
• Nightmare Fuel: Arguably worse than the original game. Instead of a museum, you're in an abandoned town, with the only other people in the area being the motel's jerk of an owner, and Darkcloud, the game's main antagonist.
• Retroactive Recognition: YouTuber and former Sierra employee MetalJesusRocks appears as one of the band members of Trip Cyclone.
• Suspiciously Similar Song: The song that plays during the intro and in Devil's Mouth Canyon sounds similar to the intro song to The Outer Limits (1995).
