• Anti-Climax Boss: A lot of games go through this, and while some of them are ingenious, others end up in quite disappointing ways.
  • Lyna Saw Trap ends with you having to get rid of Lyna.exe and Danny.exe, two evil doppelgängers of Lyna and Danny. How do you defeat them? Pushing a log so it falls under their heads.
• Broken Base: Youtuber based Saw Games. If you dont think they are entertaining,with fun ways of referencing games or common gags from these users,you might think they are mediocre attempts to appeal to general audiences.
• Early-Installment Weirdness: Paris Hilton Scary Game not only is the one game not to have "Saw" on the title, But also features a very drastically different design for Pigsaw with green hair. This is not mantained,let alone acknowledged,in later games which would revert to the previous one.
  • Pigsaw's Revenge begins with Obama finding a new wardrobe installed on his office during his capture in Guantanamo, Opening it reveals a weird creature with a pig head. This is clearly referencing the Pighead from the Saw series, But was replaced in later games with Pigface,a more comical take on the character.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • In German Saw Game, YouTuber German Garmendia has to rescue his pet dog Mimi from Pigsaw's wicked game. Months later, it would be announced that Mimi would run away from German's house, with her whereabouts being unknown even to this day.
  • Arianna Grande Saw Game features Jennette McCurdy as an antagonist, frustrated over her acting career going down, mentioning mainly the cancellation of Sam & Cat as her main reason to take revenge on Arianna. Her memoir I'm Glad My Mother Died leaves her portrayal in the game very far from reality.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Three out of the four Simpsons Saw Games featuring a Yoda toy as an item necessary for the game's progression. This,alongside all the Marvel references such as Homer Saw Game having a Spider-Man costume as an item, became this now that Star Wars, Marvel, and Fox, have all been accquired by Disney.
  • One of the comics drawn for the 2015 contest featured Pigsaw forcing Gumball Watterson to play his wicked game. Four years later, Pigsaw would finally come for him in Gumball Saw Game (although rather than his girlfriend Penny, Gumball must rescue his family instead).
• Magnificent Bastard (includes Obama And Pigsaws Gift and Obama And Pigsaw Versus Aliens): Pigsaw—known as "Jigtrap" in the Spanish versions of the latest games—, the local Affectionate Parody of Jigsaw, is a sentient robotic puppet who destroyed and escaped the lab where he was created. Pigsaw targets various people and forces them to play deadly games—which, despite everything, can actually be won—by either kidnapping them or those dear to them—with not even children being safe—, convinced to be helping them to be better in their life ahead. Pigsaw showed to also be able of doing good deeds when he warned Obama that Santa Claus needed help—albeit, for selfish reasons—and when he helped Obama stop an alien invasion, this time with seemingly no selfish reason in mind.
• Nightmare Fuel : The way Pigsaw's Revenge starts,with Obama being attacked by a Pig Head while a terrifying cry plays in the background
• Seasonal Rot: A lot of people started to feel this with the quality of the games made after 2016, as their general quality started to downgrade.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: This is the general response to the re-releases of the games under the "Mazniac" rebranding, which have to edit out all the graphics out of copyright issues. Main issue being things being repainted with colors that just don't match at all.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Gumball Saw Game is only based on the first season of the show, despite the series having hit six seasons by the time the game was developed. This leads to inconsistencies like Penny remaining on her shell. Only thing borrowed from the latter seasons is Rob's appearance at the very end.
