• Designated Hero: Seiya and the Inner Girls fall into this hard this episode. Seiya signs up Usagi to play a sport she doesn't enjoy and forces her to train. It's made worse since he constantly brings up how much love they have for each other even when Usagi makes it constantly clear that she has a boyfriend and she won't ever reciporcate his love. And her friends are just as bad since they don't even care about how she feels on the matter or offer any support to make the situation easier. it's also more jarring since they blame her for spending time with Seiya which would make her unfaithful to Mamoru.
• Values Dissonance: The episode starts off with Seiya casually explaining that he signed up Usagi for softball without asking her permission while her friends go along with the set up without even caring for her protests or feeling uncomfortable. In the past, this may have been cute for a guy to do for the girl he likes. But in the modern day, Seiya comes off as a pretentious jerk who won't take no for an answer and goes behind the girl's back to do something she doesn't enjoy.
