- Adorkable: There's something very endearing about Ross discussing games he has played in the past. Shown off to its fullest in the CarnEvil episode.
- Awesome Music: The remix of Strife's war theme in the first follow-up episode.
- Fridge Horror: Due to the Wolfenstein episode's nature, it's a bit distressing to think about the implications of a cart full of pumpkins.
- Heartwarming Moments: When her Creator Cameo comes, Ross notes that he sent a fan letter to Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh's writer some time ago, and her response was that Ross's letter happened to come while she was having a shitty day and it cheered her up.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: In his Eternam review, he mentions that The French Revolution would make an awesome setting for a game. A year later, Assassin's Creed: Unity was released. Ross discussed this in Follow-Up Episode #1, saying that he was even thinking about mentioning the Assassin's Creed series in the Eternam episode as a potential candidate for a game set in the French Revolution.
- Memetic Mutation: From the Maabus episode: "Now things are beginning to make sense."
- Paranoia Fuel:
- The idea that Bip Bop II can kill you.
- The idea that beating Helious II will summon the aliens who supposedly developed the game to abduct you, and possibly leave a clone of you behind so that nobody notices you're gone. And if Sean Puckett's story is any indication, the clone won't be aware of the nature of its existence and will believe itself to be the real you, so not even you will notice you're gone!
