YMMV / Rick And Morty S 6 E 5 Final Desmithation

• Anvilicious: The sudden commentary on animal abuse being bad by Old M. Hucksbee was as subtle as a jackhammer.
• Crosses the Line Twice: Jerry falling towards his mother with his genitals exposed and almost making contact with his mother. On its own, gross. It being Jerry helplessly screaming as it happens in slow motion? Pretty funny.
• Fridge Horror: The old man tells Rick and Jerry he put out countless fortunes telling people they'd have sex with their mothers in the hopes someone would confront him over it. They're the first. Oh, and COVID-19 was also created by the old man in a desperate attempt for help.
• Moral Event Horizon: Jennith Padrow-Chunt bringing Ms. Smith close to Jerry to invoke his fate of having sex with her.
• Nausea Fuel: The guy who sticks to walls getting his insides sucked out by the Black Hole.
• Paranoia Fuel: Imagine finding out you're on a trajectory towards something that makes you sick just thinking about it and there's little to no hope of escape.
• Squick:
  • When Jerry's mother arrives, circumstances conspire to leave her pelvic region fully exposed in Jerry's direction.
  • The idea of having sex with your own mother in general, obviously.
  • The fate changing powers of the alien is in its feces, which Rick knew the only way Jennith could have found that out was if she ate it.
  • Non-incest related: Jennith talking about eating ramen out of a toilet, which she has video evidence of for some reason (although it might just have been a recreation for promotional material. The incident itself might just be an exaggeration to sell her story. Doesn't make the thought any less squicky, though.)
  • Fortune cookies are alien poop. They only work if you eat the cookie. Padrow-Chunt could only have learned this if she, or someone else, thought to eat random alien poop.
• The Woobie: Poor Jerry thought he would have sex with his mother according to his fortune cookie. He gets put through the wringer not only by Beth and Summer, but even the kind-hearted Morty. Thankfully, Rick thought to cut Jerry some slack big time by helping investigate it. It turns out to be orchestrated by Jennith Padrow-Chunt, who decides to further twist the knife by bringing his mother close to him to invoke his shameful fate. Thank goodness Rick averts it.
