• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: A portion of the fandom weren't happy about the changes from Quarantine and the Outbreak event in Siege to the final product, as several redesigns were made by Ubisoft to avoid associating with the COVID-19 pandemic, making it somewhat Lighter and Softer. For instance, the Archæans no longer infect humans hosts and turn them into zombies, blood and gore were reduced and the Archæans now bleed black ooze and disappear when killed, and the Body Horror elements of Outbreak were changed to something more stylistic and sci-fi inspired.
