- Americans Hate Tingle: Hate is putting it too strongly, but WWE fans (casual fans at least) seemed to be pretty disinterested in him. This was most noticeable in the post-Juventud Mexicools, where the fans would cheer for Super Crazy and just sit there for Psicosis.
- He got pretty good reactions on the few occasions he used the actual Psicosis gimmick rather than his Mexicool gimmick though, but wrestled less than a half dozen matches that way.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Was very popular in the late 90s-early 2000s, especially during his WCW run, but he was always seemingly overshadowed or ignored and sometimes had planned pushes cut out from under him at the last minute - see The Chew Toy on the main page.
- Fan Nickname: When he returned to AAA and began feuding with the AAA's Psicosis, fans nicknamed him "Psicosis I" and the imposter "Psicosis II".
