* FirstInstallmentWins: Of the ''X & Y'' series films. This film, considered by most as SoOkayItsAverage, was the only one to escape backlash in a DorkAge started by its predecessor. It is also the only film that wasn't a BoxOfficeBomb.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: "Open My Eyes", the English-language ending song, is possibly the only good thing to come out of Ed Goldfarb's dub score.

* HilariousInHindsight:
** Diancie shares her [[Creator/MarikaMatsumoto Japanese voice actress]] with [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyX Rikku]], an Al Bhed thief. In ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII'', Rikku is a fairy, and tries to steal from Donald Duck, who shares his [[Creator/KoichiYamadera Japanese voice actor]] with Ninja Riot.
** The final act is surprisingly similar to ''WesternAnimation/Fantasia2000'''s portrayal of Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite". A fairy awakens a dormant, monstrous avian being who is the very epitome of destruction, who destroys a forest and performs a DisneyDeath. The Elk from the movie even resembles Xerneas!

* BaseBreakingCharacter: Diancie is either seen as lovable with a quirky personality and CharacterDevelopment, or a blatant Sue that would go on to do an AssPull.
