YMMV / Please Twins!

Go To

  • Captain Obvious Reveal: The fact that one of the girls has twice the screen time than the other does not help much intrigue. Moreover, in combination with the knowledge of standard clichés for romance anime, this becomes even obvious truth.
  • Incest Yay Shipping: The fact that both girls have obvious feelings for the protagonist makes the series the expected victim of this. Especially in anime, when a real sister seems to still be in love with him by the end of the series.
  • Sequelitis: This show is much less known and popular than the original Please Teacher!, as a much weaker story pushed the audience away. The role played also was that Teacher/Student Romance was obviously a more acceptable fetish for the audience than Twincest, though implicit.
  • So Okay, It's Average: Although this show was accused of lack of intrigue and a large Cliché Storm, most agree that it is still an average, but not a bad sequel of Onegai Teacher.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Despite the fact that the plot is quite original and promising, the difference in screen time between the girls is so obvious that the intrigue dies in the first third of the show. In addition, many fans complained that the show misses a number of interesting opportunities, for example, if the main character eventually fell in love with the girl who was his sister, or if Karen could not cope with her feelings for him and the plot would get a new love triangle.
  • Wangst: The end of the show very quickly falls into this, as the heroine in absolutely ridiculous way perceives her victory for the MC's heart as a loss.
